Braces - why is it so important?
Braces were for a very long time only associated with teenagers. Fortunately, more and more adults are choosing to have their teeth looked after. This is very important because crooked teeth not only affect appearance and self-esteem, but also the whole body.
Misaligned teeth in the arch spoil the faster, resulting in periodontal disease, or tooth decay. In turn, these ailments can cause infections, respiratory diseases, joint pain and even heart attacks. We wrote more about this topic in our article "Decayed teeth a danger to the health of the whole body", so if you are interested in this topic we invite you to read on.
IMPORTANT: Even if you did not struggle with malocclusion as a child, it can occur as a consequence of an extraction or a badly inserted filling. We wrote more about this in the article "Malocclusion in adults - causes, consequences, treatment".
Therefore, whatever your age, if you are struggling with malocclusion or crooked teeth make an appointment for a consultation with an orthodontist.

One-off expense or braces on hire purchase in the UK?

For example, prices for ceramic braces in the UKIn Polish clinics, they range from £900 to £1600. In English clinics, they are often more expensive. On top of this, you have to add the cost of follow-up visits. We wrote more about prices in the article "How much do braces cost in the UK".
Here, the argument is often made that it is better to opt for orthodontic treatment in Poland. However, it often comes out more expensive. How is this possible? The prices of Polish clinics in large cities are almost on a par with those in England, and you still have to add the ticket to Poland. This may still not be a solid argument, but it is the possibility of making an appointment, including an unscheduled one. The braces may break, the pain may appear - then the appointment cannot wait, and it is not always possible to fly to Poland.
