Replacing a shoulder or missing teeth is a necessity. Currently the implant is the most durable and best prosthetic restoration on the market, it is also the most expensive. What the price of a tooth implant in the UK depends on and how much a tooth implant in the UK costs - please see the article.
A tooth implant, or exactly what?
Often, a whole inserted tooth is mistakenly referred to as an implant. In reality, it is just a screw, usually made of titanium, implanted in the jawbone. Only on top of this is a crown placed.
You can read more about the implants themselves, but also about the implant procedure, in our article "Implants UK - everything you need to know".
As we mentioned, this is currently the best prosthetic solution available on the market. Firstly, an implant is the best imitation of a real tooth, it is for life and does not require treatment and therefore additional expenses, and it prevents bone loss. These are just some of the many advantages of implants, if you want to know the others we recommend you read our material "6 reasons why dental implants in the UK are a good choice" or contact us.
However, a big drawback for many people is the price of a tooth implant. And actually, what does it depend on and what amount are we talking about?
What does the price of a tooth implant in the UK depend on?
Many factors influence the final amount you will see on your dental surgery bill for your implant.
Firstly, the cost of the implant itself, and this depends on the material from which it is made. Obviously, the price of a titanium tooth implant will be more expensive than one made of zirconium oxide. However, the biocompatibility factor and the strength of the restoration also increase with the higher grade of material.
The price of a tooth implant in the UK will also depend on the manufacturer, But also the method of implantation. Another factor that affects the price of a tooth implant in the UK will be the location and reputation of the practice. Clearly those in London can be more expensive than those in the north of England.
Finally, the cost of a crown must be added to the price of a tooth implant in the UK. You can opt for a porcelain or semi-ceramic crown. You may also need to undergo additional investigations or dental treatment before the procedure.
So how much does an implant cost in the UK?
As we mentioned above - there is no single answer. The average price of a tooth implant in the UK (without the crown) in English surgeries varies from £1200 to even £3000. In Polish surgeries it is a bit cheaper, as you can already find an implant for £900. However, in most of them you have to reckon with similar costs. In our practice, the price of an implant starts at £1000.
